Adrian Varela, M.D.

Dr. Adrian Varela is a dedicated otolaryngologist who has been serving the Portland metro area since 2004. He founded Northwest ENT and Allergy in 2007 to provide easily accessible, community-based allergy and ear, nose, and throat care for patients of all ages.

Dr. Varela treats a variety of otolaryngology issues, focusing on allergy, sinus, sleep, and swallowing disorders. He offers food and inhalant allergy testing, endoscopic evaluations (for swallowing, sinus, and speech disorders), home sleep testing for sleep apnea, and procedures for snoring and nasal blockage.

A former resident physician at Duke University Medical Center, Dr. Varela is committed to best practices in patient comfort and thorough, unhurried care. Outside the office, he is happiest spending quality time with his wife and daughters, enjoying the outdoors and the eclectic food, music, and cultural scenes in Portland. Additionally, his hobbies include cycling, running, traveling, and cheering for the Trail Blazers.
